Born from a Love of Surf
The Salt Shed was founded by Christine Becker, a passionate surfer who saw a growing need for better access to surf gear for families and wave-chasers in the Sea to Sky corridor.
Too often, locals heading out on surf trips were stuck lining up for expensive, limited rentals on the coast—or going without altogether. Christine set out to change that. The Salt Shed was created to bring reliable, high-quality surf gear closer to home, making it easier for people to get out there and enjoy the ocean.

We offer free local delivery throughout Squamish and Whistler, shipping across Canada and beyond, and free local pickup in Squamish through our contactless surf locker. No storefront, no lineups—just easy access to the gear you need, when you need it.
